Intensive Re (Habilitation) Program
In intensive neurological re (habilitation), children and adults, we implemented a clinical and therapeutic approach designated MIIP, reflecting characteristics of Multifactorial nature, Integral, Intensive and Customized. This method is planned for individuals with diseases / neurological sequelae, for example:
Our philosophy is centered on the individual / family as engine and heart of their needs, and therefore, the absence of cases diagnosed as delayed psychomotor development or rare situations, may also benefit from our program.
In general, the program is composed of two moments:
1stMoment - Week of Assessment: occurs during a week and includes the evaluation of all the valances that CHS-CEI offers.
The reception is realized by nursing staff, which follows the entire period during which the person/ family stay at the clinic. The Medical evaluation, according on the case, is performed by the specialties of Pediatrics and Neurology, selecting the complementary and diagnostic exams needed during the process. The nutritional status of the individual is also measured by the area of nutrition, being established changes in diet in order to boost especially the second time this program, , if applicable. Neuropsychology aims essentially complementary to medical evaluation through results of batteries and specific tests of this stage. The evaluation of diagnostic and therapeutic area is established by the valences of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy through subjective and objective analysis. The CHS-CEI also provides assessment in Therasuit method and physical training.
This multidisciplinary assessment is equally an interdisciplinary approach with delineation of personalized intervention plan discussed in a team setting.
Particular situations as performing a partial evaluation that encompasses clinical and technical evaluation (excludes performing diagnostic exams and stay) may be proposed.
2nd Moment - Cycle of re (habilitation): during for a period of four weeks, since Monday to Friday, with 7 hours daily distributed by the valences that the team set.
Saturday morning includes group therapeutic modalities such as hydrotherapy and hippotherapy. This moment corresponds to the period of performance the intervention plan and can be realized in internment or outpatient.
The focus of intervention is founded on the principles of neuroplasticity to enhance the recovery of compromised abilities.
The service excellence is due mainly to the quality of service re(habilitation) in which each healthcare professional develops with the patient, along 7 hours daily, complemented with the monitoring of 24-hour nursing, which ensures continuity of care and supervises tasks established by the the re(habilitation).
In order to offer to our patients / families one more appropriate intervention can make part of our methodology, approaches like:
